Our story

Šoša Family Farm (OPG) has been providing the world with delicious fruits and oils since 2003. We specialize in olive and vine growing and produce wines, olive oil, and other fruit products from our numerous plots scattered across Zadar region, Dalmatia. The story of our farm begins in 1972 when we laid down the foundations for this business- planting vines and orchards for our own needs. In 1985, we planted our first olive tree in Zadar, meanwhile restoring a neglected grove on Ugljan Island during wartime in 1991. The results have been fruitful over our century-old olive tree is still going strong today! In 1999, we added to our olive grove by planting another 100 trees in Murvica, a village near Zadar; later followed by an expansion of 50 more trees, resulting in a total of 250 olive trees to date. We are incredibly proud of this heritage that has been passed down through generations of Šoša's family.

Our OPG competes at international olive and oil growers events - we have won multiple gold medals for quality and have taken home three championship titles! Our biggest wins include the 10th International Mediterranean Olive Growers Event Split 2013, Noćnjak 2016, and Noćnjak 2022. We are very focused on the excellence of our olive oil and always strive to produce the highest quality products. We believe that every drop of oil produced is a reflection of our passion for perfection.

We are proud to announce that our olive oil has won a gold award at The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition 2023. This is a testament to our dedication and commitment to producing the highest quality olive oil, and it is an honor for us to receive such recognition from one of the most prestigious international competitions in the world.

Like our symbol Pudarica, we preserve tradition, and we pass on our love and knowledge to young generations.

Olives harvesting is always a celebration for us. Friends and relatives join us in late autumn to participate in the olive picking and olive oil production process. Our hand-picked olives are processed in a local oil mill within a few hours. Every drop of the oil obtained in this way is rich in freshness, and flavor and full of the taste of nature.
